A British Airways flight heading to Tel Aviv, Israel was diverted on Wednesday as a result of “safety issues.”
The British Airways flight BA165 was diverted and FlightRadar24 confirmed the aircraft being diverted and turning in the direction of Greece.
Flight BA165 left London Heathrow this morning and was as a result of arrive in Tel Aviv at 15.05 hours on Wednesday.
The BA pilot diverted the plane after Israel’s airport authority stated there was a safety menace close to to Ben Gurion Airport and on the time Hamas had fired rockets within the air close to to Tel Aviv on the time the flight diverted.
Shortly after the BA pilot diverted the aircraft a missile struck Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, Hamas’s armed wing introduced.
The Al Qassam Brigades stated it “bombarded” the airport in response to civilians being focused by Israelis forces.

A BA spokesperson instructed Sky Information, “Security is all the time our highest precedence and we’ve taken the choice to return our Tel Aviv flight to Heathrow.”
